2025 Manufacturing Careers Scholarships Awarded

Each year, the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing (SVAM) awards scholarships aimed at promoting careers in manufacturing. The purpose of these scholarships is to raise awareness about manufacturing careers and help retain the talented workforce in Southwest Virginia.

The scholarships are available to deserving high school seniors who wish to pursue post-secondary education in manufacturing-related fields. For 2025, the qualifying fields of study include engineering, welding, machining, robotics, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, control systems/PLC programming, drafting/design, and environmental health and safety.

After a thorough application and interview process, SVAM is pleased to award funding of up to $2,000 each to 11 deserving students. These students demonstrated a strong commitment to pursuing a career in manufacturing and a desire to remain in Southwest Virginia.

SVAM extends its gratitude to the Scholarship Committee, comprised of members from the manufacturing sector, for dedicating their time to interview the students and select the most qualified candidates.
